While we strive for complete transparency and quality control, we understand that issues can occasionally arise. Below are our updated return and refund terms.
1. General Return Conditions
- Return window: You may request a return within 14 days of delivery.
- Item condition: Returns are only accepted for items in the same condition as received. Items must not be disassembled, modified, or damaged by the customer.
- Proof of purchase: A valid order number is required.
2. Eligibility for Return
Returns are accepted only if:
- The item significantly differs from the description (e.g., incorrect model or undisclosed major damage).
- The item arrives non-functional and the issue is verified by our support team.
Not eligible for return:
- Minor cosmetic wear, cleaning marks, or signs of age typical for vintage equipment.
- Compatibility issues with your camera or adapter. (Please contact us before purchase if you are unsure.)
- Buyer’s remorse or change of mind.
3. How to Request a Return
To initiate a return, please contact our support team within 14 days of delivery. Include:
- Your order number.
- A description of the issue.
- Photos of the item (especially in case of shipping damage or functional defect).
If your return is approved, we will provide return instructions. Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility, unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
4. Refunds
- Processing time: 5–14 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.
- Refund method: The original payment method.
- Shipping costs: Non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error.
5. Exchanges
We only offer exchanges for identical items — for example, replacing a damaged lens with the same model (subject to availability).
6. Non-Returnable Items
The following cannot be returned unless confirmed defective:
- Items damaged during use or modified after delivery.
- Items returned outside the 14-day window.
- Items sold as-is with clearly stated flaws.

International Returns

At Rugift, we proudly ship vintage Soviet lenses and cameras worldwide. We understand that buying vintage photo gear internationally can feel uncertain, which is why we aim to make our return process as clear and fair as possible.
Eligibility for International Returns
We accept international returns under the following conditions:
- You notify us within 14 days of delivery.
- The item does not match the description (e.g., wrong model, undisclosed functional defect).
- The item arrives non-functional and the issue is confirmed by our support team.
We do not accept returns for:
- Minor signs of age or cosmetic wear (common for vintage equipment).
- Compatibility issues with your digital camera or adapter.
- Customs delays or local tax fees.
- Buyer’s remorse or mistaken expectations (please ask before you buy — we’re happy to help!).
Return Procedure for International Orders
- Contact us within 14 days of receiving the item.
- Include your order number, a clear explanation of the issue, and detailed photos.
- If approved, we will send you return instructions. You may choose your own postal carrier.
Important: International return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, unless the item is incorrect or defective. We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping method.
Refunds for International Orders
- Refunds are processed within 5–14 business days after we receive and inspect the item.
- Refunds will be issued to your original payment method.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable, except in cases where we shipped the wrong or defective item.
- Rugift is not responsible for customs duties or import taxes charged by your country.
Exchanges
Due to international shipping costs and customs complexity, we do not offer exchanges for international orders. If your item is defective, we will offer a refund or assist you with a replacement depending on stock availability.
