Zenitar Fisheye Lenses
Zenitar 16mm Fisheye is a series of Russian super wide-angle lenses with angle of view of 180 degrees intended for cameras with 24x36mm frame. On APS-C format cameras Zenitar lens turnes into wide-angle lens losing most of the optical distortions that gives original effect on the images. Zenitar lenses are developed and still produced by Krasnogorskiy Mekhanicheskiy Zavod (KMZ). Using adapter rings these lenses can be mounted on most modern SLR and DSLR cameras like Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, etc. Special lens construction guarantees excellent image quality and color reproduction. The multilayer antireflection coating on the lens increases light transmission and reduces its dispersion that leads to glare elimination. Zenitar lens allows you getting original photos, provides unique opportunities for creative artistic photography. It allows you shooting from close distance, provides great depth of field. It is a compact and easy to use, despite the absence of autofocus. Zenitar refers to diagonal Fisheye lenses that means that the frame will be fully occupied by the image. However 180 degrees angle of view corresponds only to a diagonal. Among all horizontal lines only the line passing through the center of the frame will be straight. Horizontal lines above the center of the frame will be bent up, lines below the center - bent down.
