The lens has manual focus and aperture control. The design of the lens is as simple as possible (compared with Helios-44, which intended to be replaced by Zenitar 50mm / f2.0). The quality of images is similar to Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, and can be used both as a portrait lens and as a standard lens for everyday shooting. Due to high rates of aperture it is perfect for shooting in low light terms.
